Uber joins International Association of Public Transportation
Transportation technology company Uber has today (Monday 4th December) declared it was joining a global public transport association to improve mobility in the cities it operates in.
According to Reuter, Uber also said it was joining the International Association of Public Transportation (UITP) to connect more people to public transport.
The company’s head of transportation policy and research, Andrew Salzberg, said aligning the company with public transport authorities was a good way to make Uber a better partner for cities.
Uber is currently fully active in few Nigerian cities, particularly Lagos and Abuja.
The company is currently valued at $69 billion.
